Skysports.com understands Sunderland are closing in on the signing of Dickson Etuhu from Norwich.Black Cats boss Roy Keane has moved for Etuhu as he looks to bolster his midfield options ahead of life back in the Premier League.
The 25-year-old is believed to have agreed a four-year deal at the Stadium of Light after holding talks with the club.
Etuhu impressed last season for Norwich, scoring seven goals in 48 appearances, and his performances caught the attention of Keane.
Norwich were keen to keep hold of the powerful midfielder, but have reluctantly accepted Sunderland's offer for Etuhu.
If Sunderland tie up a move for Etuhu he will become Keane's fifth new signing of the summer.
