Black Cats ace in Pools deal

Hartlepool have signed Sunderland striker Ryan Noble on loan until the end of the season.

Noble, 20, has been top scorer for the Black Cats' reserves the past two seasons and currently leads their scoring charts again with 13 goals in just nine games. Pools boss Neale Cooper spoke publicly on Monday about his squad's lack of a cutting edge and it is hoped the signing of Noble will go some way to rectifying that problem. The youngster goes straight into the squad for the fixture with Oldham as Hartlepool look to end a sequence of over 300 minutes without a goal. The highly-rated striker has made five substitute appearances for Sunderland this campaign and has also spent time on loan with Championship outfits Derby and Watford in the past.
