Moxey looking to keep top talents, while bringing in fresh faces

Wolves have no intention of parting with their best players and are refusing to comment on reports claiming Sunderland have bid for Steven Fletcher. With the club having slipped out of the Premier League, speculation regarding the future of their most saleable assets was inevitable. The likes of Fletcher have shown that they are capable of mixing it with English football's elite and will feel that they deserve to be turning out at the highest possible level. Wolves are not planning on sticking around in the Championship for long, though, with it their intention to secure promotion at the first time of asking. Keeping their top talents will aid them in that quest and the Molineux board will do all they can to keep the vultures at bay.

Offers

Chief executive Jez Moxey has made it clear that the club have no need to sell and has sought to brush aside reports suggesting that Sunderland are doing their utmost to lure Fletcher to Wearside. He told the Express and Star: "We are not getting drawn on offers for players in or out. "Our best players are not for sale, we want to keep them and build the strongest possible team for the season ahead. "We will do everything we can to retain the players we want to keep and continue to look to strengthen with new signings."
