The Brighton & Hove Albion midfielder has been the subject of interest from Sunderland ever since the January window opened.
The Black Cats have already seen one offer turned down, leading to Bridcutt handing in a transfer request.
He played no part for Brighton on Saturday as they were beaten 1-0 at Derby County, with boss Oscar Garcia revealing that the midfielder was not in the right state of mind.
Retaining the services of an unsettled player can often be disruptive, with it advisable to move those out who are no longer fully committed to the cause.
Orlandi appreciates that Bridcutt has had his head turned and that he would welcome the opportunity to work with former Seagulls boss Gus Poyet at the Stadium of Light, but insists that the Scotland international has not been rocking the boat.
He told the Argus: "I think Liam's attitude has been spot on because he has been training and he hasn't said anything to us.
"We know the situation. He probably wants to leave, he wants to play in the Premier League so fair enough.
"He wants to work with Gus again. He was successful with him.
"But it is a situation the club needs to sort out as soon as possible and then, if he eventually stays, he will give 100 per cent as he always does."
