Rafael Benitez's side have already snapped up Jean-Felix Dorothee from Route de Lorient, and are now close to clinching a deal for his former defensive team-mate Reveillere.
The 22-year-old is as highly rated as Dorothee and Valencia are looking to re-unite the pair in their squad for the coming season, as they defend their Spanish title and compete in the Champions League.
Reveillere has attracted the interest of the likes of Real Madrid and Arsenal in the past and his talents will now likely be showcased at Mestalla next season.
Rennes sport chairman Pierre Dreossi revealed that the clubs were in talks over the move, and that they would allow Reveillere to leave for the right price.
As they are resigned to losing the youngster, coach Philippe Bergeroo has already lined up Derby defender Grenet as a replacement.
"Indeed, we are in talks with Valencia," said Dreossi. "If there is an interesting offer from Valencia or any other club, we will let Anthony leave.
"It seems his successor could be Francois Grenet, who already had a meeting with Philippe Bergeroo, the coach."
