Rams fight back for victory

Derby came back from a goal down to beat Rotherham 3-1 at Millmoor.

Derby County are up to fourth place in the Championship after recovering from a goal down to beat Rotherham 3-1 at Millmoor.

The Rams dominated throughout and were full value for their sixth consecutive away league win, given to them by goals from Grzegorz Rasiak, Marcus Tudgay and Inigo Idiakez.

Derby had already squandered a number of good chances to take the lead when Rotherham scored first against the run of play.

Referee Nigel Miller spotted a handball offence inside the penalty area and Martin Butler beat Lee Camp from the spot.

The Millers' lead did not last long, however, as Jeff Kenna crossed and Rasiak turned and fired his 13th goal of the season past Mike Pollitt.

Tudgay, who had struck the post in the 13th minute, put the visitors ahead just two minutes into the second half when he headed in Tommy Smith's cross at the back post.

George Burley's side then made sure of the points 13 minutes from time when Tom Huddlestone was pulled down by Phil Gilchrist and Idiakez struck from the spot.

Rotherham's ninth home defeat leaves them rooted to the foot of the table with relegation inevitable.
