The 22-year-old began the month with a brace against Brighton before netting in the club's away win over Rotherham.
Sky Sports pundit and Coca-Cola Ambassador Chris Kamara, who is chairman of the Powerade Awards panel, believes Tudgay was the correct choice for the prize.
"Marcus Tudgay is a young lad who has come in to the team at a time when Derby's fortunes have improved and they are heading for a play-off place," said Kamara.
"The manager has brought in a lot of foreign players however Marcus has scored some important goals and holds his ground amongst them."
