Derby County goalkeeper Lee Camp is hoping to sign a new contract next week.Derby County goalkeeper Lee Camp is hoping to sign a new contract at Pride Park next week.
Camp, who has been linked with Aston Villa, is to be rewarded with a new deal by the promotion-chasing Rams.
After spending the end of last season on loan at fellow Championship side Queens Park Rangers, Camp has established himself as George Burley's number one this term.
He has opened discussions regarding a fresh deal in the East Midlands and is keen to follow the lead of team-mates Grzegorz Rasiak and Inigo Idiakez.
"I don't want to leave Derby County," affirmed Camp to the club's official website.
"We're very close on my contract and hopefully it can be resolved next week. I'm happy to sign if everything can be resolved.
"Greg's staying, as is Inigo, and I don't really see why people would want to leave this football club at the moment."
