Notts County manager Ian McParland has rubbished reports that the club have made a bid for Derby defender Jordan Stewart.
The left-back has been linked with a £250,000 move to Meadow Lane, but the County boss has moved quickly to dismiss the rumours.
"It's absolute nonsense," he said.
The ambitious League Two club, who recently completed the shock signing of former England international Sol Campbell, have also been linked with a move for Sheffield United forward Billy Sharp.
However, McParland also dismissed any move for the 23-year-old Blades striker.
