The 19-year-old has earned a shock call-up to the squad after impressing Super Eagles coach Festus Onigbinde, and will have the chance to earn a place on the plane to the World Cup.
The former Manchester City starlet holds a British passport but lived in Nigeria until he was eight so can also play for them.
He could end up facing Sven Goran Eriksson's men in the Group F clash between the two, but Etuhu says that he has not yet decided whether to represent Nigeria or hold out for the chance to play for England in the future.
"I am not making any commitments, I am just going for the experience. It is only a friendly," said Etuhu.
"I'd be delighted to play for England as it is my home but Nigeria are in the World Cup so we will have to see what happens, it will be interesting."
Should Etuhu impress enough to earn a World Cup place with Nigeria, he will then face the tough decision of flying to The Far East with Nigeria or waiting to see if he can one day make it into the England squad.
