Preston North End have turned to Queens Park Rangers shot-stopper Chris Day.Preston North End have turned to Queens Park Rangers shot-stopper Chris Day to solve their goalkeeping crisis.
The Lilywhites have been laid low by injuries to their two main keepers - Andrew Lonergan and Gavin Ward.
Those injuries had left Preston boss Billy Davies with just rookie shot-stopper Chris Neal for Wednesday's trip to Nottingham Forest.
But Davies has moved to ease his dilemma by agreeing a deal to bring Day to Deepdale on a temporary basis.
Day has signed a one-month loan contract to ensure his availability for Wednesday evening's game at The City Ground.
The keeper has recently lost his place at QPR to Simon Royce and has been allowed out on a temporary basis by manager Ian Holloway.
