Preston have denied that they have already concluded a deal for Dave Hibbert.Preston have moved to deny reports that they have already concluded a deal for Port Vale's Dave Hibbert.
Vale boss Martin Foyle conceded defeat in his attempts to keep Hibbert at the club on Friday and stated that the player would ink a deal at Deepdale next week.
However, whilst Preston have confirmed that the 19-year-old is expected for talks on Monday, no terms have been concurred on as yet.
The two clubs have been unable to agree on a fee for the out-of-contract starlet and it is now expected that the case will go to a Football League tribunal.
Hibbert has only made two senior starts in his fledgling career thus far but has impressed sufficiently for Preston chief Billy Davies to make an approach.
The success of David Nugent since making a switch last season from Bury has prompted the Preston coaching staff to scour the lower divisions for unearthed talent.
