Eric Skora has returned to Kilmarnock for a second time.Eric Skora has returned to Kilmarnock for a second time.
Skora had a spell with Killie in 2004 and made a positive impression and the club are looking for him to make a similar impact and spark a push for Europe.
The French midfielder had been on loan at Walsall from Preston earlier in the campaign, but left The Bescot Stadium in December.
A return to Preston failed to revive his fortunes and he has been allowed to link up with Jim Jefferies' Killie for the remainder of the season.
"We had Eric on loan from Preston a couple of seasons ago and he was terrific for us," said Jefferies. "He did a great job and the supporters thought he was outstanding.
"He was a popular player and hopefully he can be the same this time. If he does well we can talk about an extension for a couple of years.
"We've kept tabs on him and while Eric had offers from clubs in England, he wanted to come back to us.
"He picked up a knee injury which kept him out for a while but he's had that scanned and it's okay. He had a setback with a cartilage operation but he just needs to get fit again."
Skora joins Australian defender Lindsay Wilson, signed on loan from PSV Eindhoven, and Greek midfielder Giorgos Fotakis as new recruits at Killie.
Jefferies has also moved to tie Cameron Bell to a new deal, with the young keeper now committed to the club until the summer of 2009.
