Stanley snap up three more

League new boys Accrington Stanley have bolstered their squad with three new signings.

Football League new boys Accrington Stanley have bolstered their squad with three signings on the eve of the new League Two campaign.

John Coleman's side added goalkeeper Ian Dunbavin and midfielders Joel Byrom and Jay Harris to the squad on Friday.

26-year-old Dunbavin started his career at Liverpool before a productive spell at Shrewsbury. The player has since enjoyed spells in the Nationwide Conference with North West neighbours Morecambe, Halifax and most recently Scarborough.

Byrom was released by Blackburn at the end of last season, after the 19-year-old failed to make the grade for Mark Hughes's men following a number of appearances at reserve team level.

21-year-old Harris, meanwhile, has featured in much of Stanley's pre-season campaign having left Everton at the end of the season.

Accrington begin their return to the league ladder with an away date at Chester on Saturday.
