The midfielder is keen to leave the Dutch club following the arrival of new coach Aad de Mos.
A number of clubs have been linked with Knopper's signature, with sides in both England and Holland keen on his signing.
"Stoke City is still an option, we will have contact with them on Thursday," Knopper's agent Karel Jansen said.
"Also another club from The Championship is interested as well as two Dutch clubs he could sign for.
"I have to say though there is a short time to do business."
Preston North End will not be Knopper's next destination after both the player and club ruled out the switch.
The 29-year-old had a spell on trial at Deepdale but Jansen confirmed his player would not be joining The Lilywhites.
Jansen added: "A good club, but you should not make a move just to move and accept all the circumstances."
