The Football League's Players of the Month for January have been named.
David Nugent has been crowned Championship Player of the Month for January.
The highly-rated Preston North End striker held off the challenge of Derby County's Steve Howard, Plymouth Argyle's Barry Hayles and Sunderland's David Connolly to claim the league's first prize of 2007.
Bristol City frontman Enoch Showunmi meanwhile claimed the League One award, while Hartlepool United centre-back Michael Nelson took the League Two gong.
All three players have been in fine form so far this year, guiding their teams towards those all-important automatic promotion places.
Despite being the subject of intense speculation during the transfer window, England Under 21 international Nugent scored two valuable goals in four games for North End, against league leaders Derby and in the comeback against Stoke City at home.
Those strikes have taken him to 12 for the season now in the league and have put The Lilywhites in with a great chance of achieving promotion, from their current play-off spot.
League One's Showunmi has, meanwhile, helped launch his team up to fifth, largely thanks to his goals in the victories over promotion rivals Oldham Athletic and Tranmere Rovers.
The London-born striker has thrived since leaving Luton Town in the summer and is now an integral part of promotion hopes at Ashton Gate.
Finally, Hartlepool's Nelson whose central defensive strengths secured three wins from five in the league for January, with the team conceding just twice.
Danny Wilson's men remain unbeaten so far this year and their solidity at the back has been a major contributory factor as they seek a swift return to League One at the first time of asking.
