David Nugent feels he will be 'buzzing' for another fortnight after scoring on his England debut.
The Preston North End striker marked his first senior appearance for England by applying the finishing touch to Wednesday's 3-0 win over Andorra.
Nugent is still savouring the moment and admits it could be some time before he has calmed down after his memorable debut.
"There is no better feeling," Nugent told Sky Sports News when asked to describe his emotions in playing for England.
"Obviously I had the experience of the Under 21s, but playing for the senior squad, making my debut and scoring my first goal, there is no better feeling.
"I will be buzzing for the next two weeks.
"I felt after the game when it had finished as though I could play another 90 minutes, I was buzzing.
"Coming on I was a bit shaky at first, but once I had a first touch I felt great and I didn't feel out of place.
"I thought I played a decent part in the game as well."
Nugent became the first Preston player since Sir Tom Finney to represent England and he was delighted to emulate the club legend.
He is now hoping to build on his England experience by helping The Lilywhites to promotion to the Premiership.
The former Bury forward added: "He (Finney) is Mr Preston, he's a legend at this club and I want to follow in his footsteps.
"What I want to do now is try and get Preston into the Premiership - that's the main aim and hopefully it will be in the summer."
