Tony Pulis says West Brom have "lost their way as an attacking force" in recent weeks, and have collected just four points from their most recent six games.

The Baggies, who remain a comfortable eighth in the table, entertain Liverpool live on Sky Sports 1 HD on Sunday lunchtime, having not scored in 285 minutes of Premier League action.

Their last two matches have witnessed an away defeat at Watford, followed by a home loss to Southampton, and Pulis admits that during training this week they have paid special attention to their attacking game.

The West Brom manager said: "We've been doing shooting and finishing. We've highlighted the fact we've got into some wonderful positions but we've not hit the target.

"That's been the biggest disappointment. We've been hitting people in the stands more regularly than we've been hitting the goal.

"We've certainly got to make sure that when we get in there, we concentrate more on finishing and hitting that target. Even if the keeper saves it, someone else can tap it in.

"We've been really wayward in the last two games. Like I say, we've had something like 37 or 38 shots on goal in the last two Premier League games but we've only had four or five shots on target. That ratio is not what we want.

"I think it's concentration more than anything else, there have been lapses."

Pulis realises that Sunday's opponents will create problems of their own at the other end of the pitch.

We've had something like 37 or 38 shots in the last two games, but only had four or five on target.

Regarding the visiting Reds, he added: "We've watched tapes back again in the last couple of days and they're very good on set-plays themselves.

"And if they go with the three centre-halves, they're a big team and they can be really dangerous. They get good quality in.

"I think both boxes will have to be defended well off set-plays, but we work on certain things and we understand what we're trying to do as a group.

"The biggest thing is to make sure everyone understands where they should be in their starting positions."
