SKY BLUES RULE OUT HUGHES BID

The Sky Blues chairman previously hinted that the 24-year-old was among a number of players the club was considering but, despite Strachan`s presence at Albion`s 3-0 friendly victory over Notts County on Friday, he now insists the carrot-topped assassin is not a target.
"One thing I want to get straight is that we are not interested in Lee Hughes," Richardson said.
"Sure Gordon was at West Brom's game on Friday, but he goes to a lot of games to see a lot of players. We're hoping to bring new players in, but Hughes is not one of them."
The news will be a relief to Baggies boss Gary Megson who wants to keep the triumvirate of quality strikers he currently has at The Hawthorns: crowd favourite Bob Taylor, new £2 million signing Jason Roberts and the club`s top scorer for the past three years, Lee Hughes.
With £13 million in the kitty following Keane`s departure to Internazionale and Noel Whelan`s move to Middlesbrough, Strachan seems certain to strengthen his depleted strikeforce before the new campaign.
Another striker who seems not bound for Highfield Road is Rangers striker Neil McCann after Gers chairman David Murray said he had rejected a £4 million bid for the former Hearts winger and is not looking to sell him.
