Albion boss Bryan Robson has taken a £3 million gamble on the 20-year-old defender after prising him away from Luton Town on transfer deadline day.
Davies is delighted the Premiership side had enough faith in him to splash out big money to bring him to The Hawthorns - and hopes to prove Robson was right to sign him.
"I knew what money Luton wanted for me and a lot of clubs weren't willing to pay it," said Davies.
"A lot of clubs kept saying 'keep us informed' but West Brom were the ones who were willing to put their money down and take a chance on me.
"The fact West Brom were willing to pay what they did shows they've got faith in me.
"I aim to repay that faith on the pitch."
