Zoltan Gera has been forced to undergo minor surgery on his left hand.
West Bromwich Albion midfielder Zoltan Gera will miss Tuesday's Carling Cup clash with Bradford as he is set to undergo minor surgery on his troublesome left hand.
However, Gera, whose last gasp goal rescued a 1-1 draw for Albion at Sunderland on Saturday, should recover in time for the visit of Charlton at the weekend.
The Hungarian international broke a finger in a collision with Portsmouth goalkeeper Jamie Ashdown on the final day of last season and the injury became infected while on international duty.
Geoff Horsfield (calf) and Nwankwo Kanu (hamstring) both missed the trip to The Stadium of Light and are expected to absent once again for Bryan Robson's Baggies.
