West Brom are reportedly keeping tabs on Luton wide man Carlos Edwards.West Brom are reportedly keeping tabs on Luton wide man Carlos Edwards as the January transfer window draws close.
The Trinidad & Tobago international has impressed for both Luton and his country this term, helping the latter to an unprecedented World Cup finals spot in 2006.
Baggies chief Bryan Robson is expected to open the purse strings in the new year and it would appear the versatile Edwards could top his wish list.
Luton have been the Championship's surprise package this term following last season's promotion and Edwards, along with his team-mates, has made the step-up with considerable ease.
Prior to the close of the previous window, Robson raided Kenilworth Road for the signature of Curtis Davies - with the central defender having since gone on to impress at the heart of West Brom's backline.
Davies' performances have seemingly alerted West Brom to the potential of players outside of the top flight, with chief scout Bobby Hope thought to have had the player watched.
Hope is believed to be an admirer of the player, with the Midlands outfit having been credited with an interest in Edwards when he was at Wrexham, prior to his switch to Luton.
Meanwhile, Tobago-born defender Cyd Gray is purportedly attracting interest from League One outfit Gillingham after a series of an excellent displays for his country.
