West Brom's Curtis Davies is happy to be the youngest captain in The Premiership.West Brom defender Curtis Davies is happy to be the youngest captain in The Premiership.
Davies took over the skipper's armband for The Baggies' 3-0 defeat at Manchester United on Boxing Day.
The decision was a massive show of faith in Davies, who has quickly established himself at The Hawthorns since his early season move from Luton Town.
Baggies boss Bryan Robson has already earmarked the 20-year-old as a long-term captain for the club.
And Davies admits he has no qualms in dishing out the orders and is proud that his qualities have been recognised by Robson.
"Whether someone is older or younger than you, if they've done something wrong you have to shout at them," said Davies.
"If you do something wrong, you must hold up your hands, regardless of your age.
"I try to lead on the pitch and if the gaffer sees that as captaincy quality, then that's a great achievement."
