Midfielder set to sign new deal at Rosenborg
Per Ciljan Skjelbred has chosen to snub an offer from England in favour of a new contract at Rosenborg.
The Norway international was reported to be a summer transfer target for Premier League new-boys West Brom, but has no interest in leaving his homeland.
He has instead opted to sign a three-year contract extension at Lerkendal Stadion.
"We have reached an agreement," Skjelbred's agent Andreas Ecker told Adresseavisen.
Relieved
The 21-year-old also revealed his pleasure at prolonging his stay in Trondheim.
"I am really relieved," he told the club's official website.
"It feels right and I am glad that it is done.
"On a sporting level it looks good and exciting times are ahead for the club. Additionally, we have a very good coach (Erik Hamren) and I am keen to be part of his plans."
