Port Vale manager Jim Gannon has signed Romaine Sawyers and Kayleden Brown on 28-day loans from West Bromwich Albion.

Sawyers, 19, is a former England youth international and can play as a striker or attacking midfielder while Brown, 18, is an attacking midfielder or forward and has spent spells on loan this season at Dagenham and Tranmere. Gannon told the club's official website: "These are two bright young players who have been groomed in a Premiership environment. "I have watched them play in the reserves and am confident both will give us an extra edge in our squad, especially at a time when our squad is depleted by injuries. "They will be hungry to be involved and will also offer competition for places at the club." Both will go in the squad for the visit of Cheltenham on Saturday.
