Keeper vows to fight for spot in Hodgson's starting X

West Brom goalkeeper Boaz Myhill admits he is frustrated that the club are continually linked with a move for a new goalkeeper. Myhill is currently No.1 keeper at the Hawthorns following Scott Carson's departure to Turkish side Bursaspor. However, West Brom are reported to be in the market for two new goalkeeping recruits with talks over a move for Birmingham's Ben Foster thought to be at an advanced stage. Myhill, who played all three games on Albion's recent US tour, is determined to ignore the transfer speculation and fight for his place at the Hawthorns. "It is frustrating to see the club continually linked with moves for a new goalkeeper, but there is nothing I can do about speculation," Myhill told skysports.com. "I will just get my head down and work hard and try to impress Roy Hodgson. "I have enjoyed pre-season and I am looking forward to the start of the new season."
