Nottingham Forest duo Ishmael Miller and Lee Camp think highly-rated Manchester City defender Greg Cunningham can make a big impact on the Championship.
The left-back position has been a problem for the East Midlands club over the past few seasons worsened by Clint Hill being recalled from loan by QPR.
Reds boss Steve Cotterill has wasted no time in bringing in a replacement and has secured the 20-year-old Cunningham on loan until 31st December.
The Republic of Ireland international has made five appearances for Roberto Mancini's men and featured 13 times for Leicester City last season while on loan before suffering a fractured tibia.
Ex-Manchester City forward Miller will get the chance to reunite with the young defender who goes straight into the squad for the clash with Hull at the City Ground on Saturday.
"He is coming from a big club so hopefully he can come in, do a good job and make a big impact," said Miller.
"It was hard to see Clint go but hopefully he can come in and make the same impact as Clint did."
Forest goalkeeper Camp believes strengthening in that problem area can only be good for the Reds who go into Saturday's game looking for a third successive victory under Cotterill.
"It is this left-back saga but it is an important addition to the team," said Camp. "I do not know a great deal about the boy. I know he had a loan spell and he has been at Manchester City for a while.
"So to still be with them with everything that is going on there means he must have ability and we will welcome him into the squad and hopefully he will be a great addition."
