Duberry hoping for Wolves switch

Michael Duberry is hoping to secure his release from Leeds United in order to join new Championship rivals Wolves.

The former Chelsea stopper is currently in talks with The Whites in order to reach an agreement over the remaining two years of his contract.

Duberry has spoken to Wolves officials and is being tipped to join the Molineux outfit later this week, should he strike a deal with Leeds.

So far Wolves are the only club to come forward for the 28-year-old stopper, who has endured a roller coaster ride at Leeds since being signed by ex-boss David O'Leary.

"Wolves have tried to sign him and we've tried to agree a compromise agreement, which is still ongoing," explained agent Phil Graham to skysports.com.

"Wolves made an offer to sign him and we're in talks with Leeds regarding a compromise agreement.

"Wolves are the only ones who want to sign him at the moment. He's talked to Wolves and if a deal can be done than he will go there.

"We've been talking about it for four weeks now."

Duberry's move to Wolves would effectively constitute a swap move after Leeds bagged defender Paul Butler from Dave Jones's side for free this summer.
