Neil Sullivan's late penalty save rescued a point for Leeds at Wolves.Neil Sullivan continued his excellent start to his Leeds United career after his late penalty save rescued a point in a goalless draw at Wolves.
The Midlands outfit had a perfect chance to snatch their first win of the season when Michael Duberry brought down Kenny Miller in the penalty area.
After Duberry departed the pitch following his second yellow card Miller's penalty to Sullivan's left was superbly saved by the former Chelsea keeper.
Wolves started the better of the sides with Leeds still gelling following a summer of high turnover at Elland Road.
Sullivan was the first keeper called into action when he dived to force Miller's effort wide for a corner.
Leon Clarke twice came close to breaking the deadlock, but first headed over at the back post before turning in the box and firing straight at Sullivan.
Leeds then suffered a blow when Lucas Radebe was forced off through injury with Simon Walton taking his place in midfield.
Wolves had a chance from a set-piece after Duberry fouled Miller in the middle, however Lee Naylor's effort was deflected out for a corner.
Paul Jones had little to do during the first half, but with Stephen Crainey and Gary Kelly crossing from all angles, the former Saint more than held his own.
Clarke continued to be the danger for Wolves and he came twice to opening the scoring at the break with a back post header and low drive.
Miller then drilled the in ball low which Sullivan failed to collect, however Duberry was on hand to force the ball out of play for a corner.
Leeds rarely looked like threatening with any half chance being closed down swiftly. Danny Pugh saw an opening from Deane's cross, but had no time to make a clean strike.
Frazer Richardson, who scored the club's winner against Derby, had an excellent chance following a Ricketts flick-on, but his effort drifted just wide of goal.
Leeds looked comfortable to avoid defeat until Duberry brought Miller down in the penalty area, however Sullivan saved the day to leave both sides with a point.
