The 23-year-old joins Bradford City striker Dean Windass from League One and Wycombe Wanderers hit-man Nathan Tyson from League Two in taking the honours after the first month of the new season.
Lescott's performances in the backline for Glenn Hoddle's side helped Wolves to three clean sheets in August, as well as scoring the equaliser in their 2-2 draw at Cardiff City.
Their fine start has seen the Black Country club move into sixth in the Championship table, as the Molineux side aim for a return to The Premiership.
Windass is the recipient of the League One award after scoring four goals in six matches helped Colin Todd's side to a fine start to the new campaign.
The well-travelled 36-year-old shows no signs of slowing down, as The Bantams aim for a promotion push this term.
Tyson took the League Two award after scoring six goals in as many matches for John Gorman's side, as The Chairboys went unbeaten during August.
