QPR chairman Gianni Paladini has insisted that he is not interested in John Gregory.Queens Park Rangers chairman Gianni Paladini has insisted that he will not be employing John Gregory on a consultancy basis.
It had been reported that Paladini was 'hoping' to bring the former Aston Villa manager to Loftus Road to help out in an advisory capacity, but the chairman has denied that there is any truth to the stories.
He is determined to show caretaker boss Gary Waddock the utmost respect, and does not want him to become distracted by off-the-pitch matters.
"I don't know where these rumours surface from. Just when you think a win and a great performance will go a long way to making people happy, something is dragged up," Paladini told the club's official website.
"I will not have these rumours getting in the way of Gary Waddock's task of preparing the team for the game against Crystal Palace.
"I want him to know that he's in charge of team affairs right now and that I'm not looking anywhere else. I have spoken to Gary and reassured him that this is the case."
Meanwhile, Leon Clarke and Keith Lowe have returned to Wolves from their loan spell at QPR.
Ian Holloway moved for the youngsters on transfer deadline day, snapping them up for the rest of the season, but with Holloway placed on "gardening" leave and Waddock taking up the reins, the new manager has decided to release the duo back to Molineux.
However, they will not be eligible to play for Wolves until February 28 under the 28-day-minimum rule.
