Wolves striker Leon Clarke could miss the start of the new season due to injury.
Wolves striker Leon Clarke could miss the start of the coming campaign after suffering an ankle injury.
The forward picked up the problem during pre-season training and is thought to have suffered suspected ligament or tendon damage.
The injury could rule the youngster out of the season's opening game against Plymouth on August 5.
"Leon miscontrolled the ball and injured his ankle," said club physio Steve Kemp.
"We've had it X-rayed and there's no bone damage but we think he's damaged ligaments or tendons.
"It'll probably be two to three weeks before he can return to training which is unfortunate so close to the start of the season."
