Wolves' Gary Breen has been cleared by the FA for his red card against Cardiff.
Wolverhampton Wanderers defender Gary Breen has been cleared by the Football Association for his sending off against Cardiff City.
The 32-year-old former Republic of Ireland international was dismissed in the 4-0 defeat at Ninian Park for an apparent elbow on opposition striker Steve Thompson.
Mick McCarthy's side appealed the decision and The FA's disciplinary commission have agreed, after reviewing video footage of the incident and taking Thompson's statement into account, that it was accidental.
Breen will no longer serve a three-match ban and is now available for the game against Colchester United on October 14 and the subsequent matches against local rivals Coventry City and West Bromwich Albion.
