Mick McCarthy expects to sign Michael Kightly, while John Gregory wants more from QPR.
Wolves boss Mick McCarthy expects to sign match-winner Michael Kightly permanently in the New Year.
Kightly is on loan from Conference side Grays Athletic, but marked his second appearance for Wolves with the only goal against Queens Park Rangers on Saturday.
Though McCarthy felt the attacker could have scored more, he believes he has done enough to warrant a long-term deal at Molineux.
"I told Michael he should have scored four and he should," said McCarthy. "I am hard to please and he knows that.
"Michael is a player who has scored goals for Grays this season and last, and our scouts recommended him highly.
"He looks like a good acquisition. He is on loan until the window reopens and I would think we would sign him permanently.
"He looks like he is going to score every time he gets into the box and he is taking his chance."
QPR boss John Gregory believes his players have dropped their standard in recent weeks, following a bright start to his tenure.
Gregory said: "A new manager always makes an impact and it got a bit more out of everyone when I took over, which was not necessarily to do with me.
"The players wanted to impress the new manager, but now they have slipped back to being what they were before I took over.
"They need to find that extra 20 per cent."
