Dicko leaves Millers

Wigan Athletic have recalled Nouha Dicko from his loan spell at Rotherham United with immediate effect.

The in-form striker, 21, has scored six goals in five appearances for the Millers including a brace in Saturday's 3-3 draw with Wolves. Dicko returns to the DW Stadium due to Latics' poor form in front of goal, with Grant Holt, Marc-Antoine Fortune and Will Keane, borrowed from Manchester United, struggling for both fitness and form. A tweet from Wigan's official Twitter account said: "Uwe Rosler confirms Nouha Dicko will be recalled from his loan spell at Rotherham United today (Monday)." The Frenchman has made a strong impact while at New York Stadium and has helped fire the Millers into the top six of Sky Bet League One. Boss Steve Evans was keen to keep him beyond January, when his spell was originally due to end, but is pragmatic about the situation. He said after Saturday's clash with Wolves: "We'd love to keep him because he is a quality player, but if we can't keep him I'll get someone else in."
