Jackett's side sealed promotion from League One with victory over Crewe on Saturday and are long odds-on to win the title, sitting six points clear at the top with four games left.
Wolves still have George Elokobi, Richard Stearman and Jamie O'Hara from the squad that suffered successive relegations after dropping out of the Premier League in 2012.
But after making an immediate return to the Championship, former Millwall boss Jackett insists he will not overhaul his squad to keep them there.
"I certainly feel this squad are capable of playing in the Championship and it was only a couple of years ago Wolves were in the Premier League - it's our aim to be there again," Jackett told Sky Sports News.
"Of course we will try to improve over the summer but I think it will be the nucleus of this side that remains. If there are players who can help us, we'll take them, but I don't think there will be major surgery.
"We're not underestimating the size of the task of trying to get back in the Premier League. It's going to be hard because I believe the Championship is the fourth biggest league in Europe."
"We've got to build on promotion now. I want to win League One and it's in our hands it's an exciting time at Wolves.
"We know we'll be going into a very difficult league but if this could be the first step of many, it would be a great achievement by the club."
