Norwich City have made a substantial offer for Wolves striker Benik Afobe, according to Sky sources.
The 22-year-old is one of the hottest prospects in the Championship after scoring 14 goals in just 23 league appearances since joining Wolves from Arsenal in January.
Afobe's form was so prolific that he caught the attention of England Under-21 boss Gareth Southgate and was called up to replace Saido Berahino, currently the subject of a potential transfer to Tottenham, at the European Championships this summer.
He did not make an appearance in the Czech Republic but had previously made two appearances and scored for the U21s whilst an Arsenal trainee.
During his time with the Gunners, Afobe spent time out on loan at six clubs in the lower divisions.
He scored eight goals over two spells at Huddersfield in the 2010-11 season before stints at Reading, Bolton, Millwall and Sheffield Wednesday.
Afobe then scored 19 goals in 30 appearances in all competitions for MK Dons in the first half of last season, before his move to Wolves in the winter transfer window.
