The FA will take no further action against Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola following his heated discussion with Southampton’s Nathan Redmond, Sky Sports News understands.
The Football Association sought observations from the Catalan last week after he was seen shouting at the Saints forward on the pitch at full-time after his side won 2-1 last Wednesday.
Guardiola, who had until Monday December 4 to respond, subsequently admitted that he regretted the outburst but said: "I cannot control myself."
The incident came after Raheem Sterling's late winner sent the Etihad into pandemonium, setting them up for a record-equalling 13th consecutive Premier League victory against West Ham on Sunday.
Guardiola's City are eight points clear of Manchester United at the top of the table - and only United have ever overcome such a deficit after 15 games in Premier League history.
The two sides clash at Old Trafford in the Manchester derby, live on Sky Sports on Super Sunday, which Paul Pogba will miss after United decided not to appeal his dismissal at Arsenal at the weekend.
