Brighton boss Mark McGhee wants to sign loan pair Alan Blayney and Joe Dolan.Brighton & Hove Albion manager Mark McGhee has revealed that Alan Blayney and Joe Dolan are summer targets.
The Seagulls avoided relegation from The Championship on the last day of the season and McGhee is keen for the pair to become permanent members of his Withdean Stadium squad.
The Scot says he has issued a challenge to Millwall man Dolan to improve his fitness.
"I've told him I have to see him in pre-season, and I have to see him get back to the fitness levels that he was when I knew him at Millwall," McGhee told the club's official website.
"If he can get back to this level, then I think he is a player that we would want to keep him, but I need to see that first."
McGhee added he will also talk with Southampton about completing a permanent move for goalkeeper Blayney.
"Alan did absolutely brilliantly here for us," he added.
"We have to see how realistic an option that is, and whether they're even prepared to consider letting him go, and what the conditions would be."
The Scot is also in talks regarding new deals for striker Leon Knight and left back Dan Harding.
McGhee, meanwhile, delivered some more sobering news to Nathan Jones and Paul Watson after deciding to release the pair on Friday.
Jones struggled to get into the first team this past season while Watson suffered injury problems during his Brighton spell.
