Plymouth deny Taylor exit

Plymouth have denied that Scott Taylor could be heading for Oldham.

Plymouth have moved to dismiss reports that suggest Scott Taylor could be heading for Oldham Athletic.

The former Blackpool striker was reportedly set for talks with the League One outfit this weekend but this has now been denied by the club's chief executive Michael Dunford.

Taylor only joined The Pilgrims in December for £100,000 but had reportedly been hankering for a move back north - a suggestion refuted by Dunford.

''Utter rubbish,'' claimed Dunford to the Western Morning News when quizzed on the sale of Taylor.

Plymouth only have three recognised strikers, including Taylor, and it would appear that the sale of Taylor has now been ruled out for the time being at least.

Meanwhile, Southampton have told Bobby Williamson that any attempt to sign Dexter Blackstock will fall on deaf ears.
