Sheffield Wednesday have signed two Southampton players on loan on Tuesday.Sheffield Wednesday boss Paul Sturrock has completed a swoop on former club Southampton by signing two of their players on loan.
Striker Leon Best has returned to Hillsborough and French midfielder Yoann Folly has also arrived at the club, with both players coming to The Owls on loan for the rest of the season.
With injuries to Steve Adams and Craig Rocastle, Sturrock was keen to have cover in his Wednesday squad before the January transfer window closed on Tuesday.
Best showed plenty of promise when he arrived at the start of the season, but a broken bone in his foot meant he had to end his time in South Yorkshire until now.
Folly is another familiar player to Sturrock, as the Scot gave the former St Etienne man a chance in the Southampton first team during his tenure.
Both players could make their debuts on Tuesday evening when Wednesday host Luton Town in The Championship.
One Owls player to remain away from his parent club is defender Rory McArdle, whose loan with League Two side Rochdale has been extended until April 1.
Meanwhile, Southampton midfielder David Prutton has been sidelined for up to a month with an ankle injury.
