David Prutton has rejoined Nottingham Forest on loan from Southampton.
David Prutton has rejoined Nottingham Forest less than four years after leaving the club for Southampton.
The 25-year-old arrives back at The City Ground on loan for the rest of the current season, having left Forest in a £2.5million deal back in January 2003.
Prutton will try and assist Colin Calderwood's side win promotion from League One this season, with the midfielder to decide on his future once he becomes a free agent in the summer.
The Hull-born player was a former Forest trainee, and he was pleased to have the chance to resurrect his career with the East Midlands outfit.
"Forest are in with a great chance of promotion, which was a big factor in my decision, and it is a very attractive place to play," Prutton told Southampton's official website.
"I will have a look and see what is happening at the end of the season, but I don't think I am likely to be back at Southampton."
Prutton will not be available for Wednesday's League One clash at Carlisle United.
