The Norwegian chief made it clear that issues concerning new deals will have to wait until the summer because he wants the squad to be fully concentrated on Division One survival this season.
"This is a very important part of the season because of the situation we find ourselves in," Gislason told The Sentinel.
"It is questionable if it is wise to distract the players from the task in hand by entering into contract negotiations at this time.
"But there will be contracts on offer for our players in the summer.
"We will be talking to James [O'Connor] and Clive [Clarke], as we will all the others."
Brynar Gunnarsson, Peter Hoekstra and Bjarni Gudjonsson [pictured] are coming to the end of long-term deals at the Britannia Stadium this summer, while Marcus Hall and Lee Mills will see their short-term contracts end at the end of the season.
