Stoke City are reportedly ready to end Nourdin Boukhari's spell at Ajax.Stoke City are reportedly ready to end Nourdin Boukhari's spell at Ajax.
The 25-year-old has failed to ever nail down a regular starting berth at the Amsterdam ArenA and the club confirmed at the start of January that they would be ready to listen to offers for Boukhari.
The forward was recently booed by the demanding Ajax fans and is ready to resurrect his career away from the Dutch capital.
It is rumoured that eight clubs are monitoring the situation, with one of those teams reported to be Johan Boskamp's Stoke.
The Potters are sat in mid-table in The Championship, but a fine run in the closing months of the season could see them claim a play-off berth.
Boskamp is said to be looking at adding some creativity to his squad and Boukhari would appear to fit the bill.
The Potters chief is planning a trip to the Netherlands to speak to officials from Ajax and Feyenoord, with Boukhari believed to be one of his targets.
"There are players we would like to take, and I think the clubs would let us have them, but they are on more money than we can pay and so it would depend on us reaching some form of agreement with the clubs," Boskamp told the club's website.
"We know there are areas of the squad we need to strengthen and that is what we will be aiming to do before the end of the transfer window.
"But at the moment it would be wrong to promise anything, there is a lot of talking still to be done."
Meanwhile, Stoke winger Kevin Harper has been sidelined for up to a month with a dislocated shoulder.
