Transfer news: Mark Hughes hoping to bolster Stoke ranks in January
Mark Hughes hopes there is business to be done in the January window and has played down Asmir Begovic speculation.

The Potters' need to strengthen in the New Year has been heightened by a run which has brought just one win in their last 10 Premier League outings.
An alarming slump has dropped Hughes' men to within three points of the relegation zone.
The busy festive period will offer ample opportunity to turn the tide heading into 2014, but Hughes admits he will be looking to add regardless of how his side fare over the coming weeks.
He said after Saturday's 4-0 defeat by Everton: "I think we have to invest and improve the first team.
"Those type of players might not be available in January.
"We have got targets in mind and we will see if we can bring them to the club. If we do that, it will help us.
"We will try to address the weaknesses and add to the strengths we have."
Meanwhile, Hughes is determined to ensure that first-choice goalkeeper Begovic sees out the winter window at the Britannia Stadium.
Reports have suggested that Manchester City have entered the race for the Bosnia international - in a deal which could see Joe Hart loaned in the opposite direction - but Stoke maintain that no formal offers have been received.
Hughes added: "We haven't heard anything on that.
"Asmir is an exceptional keeper, as he proved once again (at Goodison Park)."
