The Potters collected a rare clean sheet on Saturday as they edged out the title-chasing Gunners 1-0 at the Britannia Stadium.
Begovic formed their last line of defence and believes Mark Hughes' side were full value for a battling success - secured courtesy of a Jon Walters penalty - which has lifted the club six points clear of the relegation zone.
He told Stoke City Player: "It was a huge win for us and it was a fantastic performance against a big team.
"It's always great to get a clean sheet. I feel that one has been coming for a while, but we just haven't had the luck that we would have wanted in recent weeks.
"Our defensive organisation and performances have been more than okay, but we just haven't quite been able to get that clean sheet until now.
"It was a fantastic performance, we really stuck together and we were able to get the clean sheet and the win.
"The commitment from the team was great and it's great to see the guys throwing their bodies on the line for the good of the team.
"It's nice to perform well and get results against teams like Arsenal and hopefully it will set us up nicely for the rest of the season.
"As I say, it's nice to not concede, but the most important thing is that we picked up a crucial three points."
While happy to see Stoke back to their best over the weekend, Begovic also feels as though he is showing his true colours after fully recovering from a broken finger which disrupted his season in late December.
He added: "My finger is feeling great and I don't have to wear any support braces.
"It was frustrating to be out, but thankfully there's no pain and everything feels comfortable now.
"I must admit it's nice to have the feeling back in my hand again and it's getting better all the time."
