Queens Park Rangers boss Harry Redknapp has confirmed that he would welcome the opportunity to work with Peter Crouch for a fourth time.

The pair have previously taken in spells together at Portsmouth, Southampton and Tottenham Hotspur.

Redknapp has been able to bring the best out of the much-travelled frontman, with a vastly-experienced coach prepared to play to Crouch’s strengths.

It was suggested over the summer that a reunion at Loftus Road could be on the cards.

Crouch remains part of the first-team set-up at current employers Stoke City, but has seen Mark Hughes move to bolster his attacking options.

Redknapp admits that he contemplated a move during the recent transfer window and is ruling nothing out as Premier League managers start to piece together their plans for January.

He said: “Crouch is a player we’ve spoken about a few times.

“I brought him to Portsmouth from QPR, and I’ve managed him at most places since then. He’s a top player.

“You’d always have a Crouchy, he’s a great bloke and a good player.”
