Bristol City move up into the play-off positions after a home win over Barnsley while Sheffield Wednesday's poor run continued as they were held to a 0-0 draw at home to Luton.
Sam Parkin put Swindon ahead at The County Ground after 39 minutes but QPR came back and snatched a point thanks to a goal from Martin Rowlands 11 minutes from time.
Plymouth Argyle had no problem in disposing of Hartlepool who left Home Park disappointed after a long trip down from the North East resulted in a 2-0 defeat thanks to goals from Marino Keith and Nathan Lowndes.
A Lee Miller brace saw Bristol City move up into the top six as his goals came either side of a Jacob Burns strike for Barnsley to earn a 2-1 win for The Robins who secured the points in the final minute.
Bournemouth and Stockport played out an eventful five-goal thriller at Edgeley Park that saw Aaron Wilbraham and Rickie Lambert put The Hatters 2-0 up only for James Hayter and Warren Feeney to level with just 14 minutes left to play.
However, former Everton striker Stuart Barlow popped up with nine minutes left to play to earn a vital three points for the hosts.
A double from Leon Knight gave Brighton a 2-1 win at Notts County to keep them in the promotion hunt, with a Paul Heffernan penalty coming in between Knight's brace.
Iain Hume grabbed the only goal of the game to give Tranmere a 1-0 home win over Port Vale, who slide out of the play-off places as a result of the defeat.
Rushden & Diamonds romped to a 4-0 win over Colchester at Nene Park thanks to goals from Onandi Lowe, Stuart Gray, Andy Burgess and Marcus Bignot.
Scott Taylor continued with his fine form as he notched his 16th goal of the season to grab Blackpool a 1-0 win away at Peterborough.
Steve Hunt gave Brentford the lead from the penalty spot against Grimsby Town at Griffin Park, but an Iffy Onuora strike was added to by a late brace from Michael Boulding to record a 3-1 win for The Mariners.
Chesterfield took the lead at home against Oldham through Steve Blatherwick after the half hour but Calvin Zola popped up to claim a point for The Latics.
Sheffield Wednesday are still languishing in mid-table after a disappointing goalless draw with Luton Town at Hillsbrough, while Wrexham and Wycombe also ended goalless at The Racecourse Ground.
