Bristol City player-manager Brian Tinnion is keen to keep loanee Joe Keith.Bristol City player-manager Brian Tinnion is keen to turn Joe Keith's loan into a permanent arrangement.
The 26-year-old arrived at Ashton Gate in a swap loan deal that saw winger Marc Goodfellow head in the other direction to join Colchester United.
Keith is currently on a month's loan with the West Country outfit, but Tinnion is hoping to extend his loan and allow him the chance to earn a contract with The Robins.
"I have spoken to Colchester manager Phil Parkinson over the weekend and he is going to speak to his chairman about Joe's situation," Tinnion told the club's official website.
"He is out of contract in the summer, so hopefully they will allow him to stay and fight for a future here.
"They are pleased with Marc Goodfellow's performances while on loan to them, so it could be that they are ready to strike an agreement over both players."
