Colchester United have snapped up Swindon striker Jamie Cureton on a month-long loan deal.
The former QPR marksman will go straight into the United squad for Saturday's trip to Tranmere Rovers, subject to approval from the Football League.
Cureton is a former team-mate of Colchester boss Phil Parkinson, having played alongside him during a prolific spell at Reading.
Parkinson's side have been averaging just a goal-a-game up to this point in the season and he will be hoping that his former colleague will be able to boost that ratio.
The 30-year-old striker has notched 134 goals in 371 professional appearances during a career that has taken in nine different clubs.
